We had such a wonderful time here! The Shay is the perfect place to escape and enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of farm life while having absolute privacy. We loved all the different farm animals (cows, horses, sheep) and other critters that visited us over our stay. We especially enjoyed sitting in front of the crackling brazier and gazing at the stars, as well as a relaxing soak in the bath with a view. We’re looking forward to returning to such a beautiful area.

The most peaceful stay! Cows, horses, kangaroos and all sorts of animals it was such an amazing stay! So clean inside and quite luxurious. And sitting by the fire couldnt have been better

Wow, what an amazing place. Super comfortable beds and everything else you could possibly want to relax. Once you park the car you will never want to leave! Trish has created something so special here, and is only to keen to spoil you (hint: definitely get the breakfast basket!)

A beautiful getaway
A beautiful getaway tucked into the hills of Canungra. Next level hostess with plenty of advice for out of town tourists. The accommodation had all the luxuries of a 5 star hotel with the feel of a country homestead. Great for families with active children or couples wanting a quiet getaway. We will be back.

It was a truly stunning
I came across Country Mile Escape while looking for accommodation that was close to hiking trails and where i could also bring a telescope. Not only was it a great location but the room totally exceeded my expectations. Every last detail was thought of. It was a truly stunning location and the room was beautiful. Trish was happy for us to wander around the property when we arrived. We met all the animals, cows, horses and sheep. Trish let us nurse some baby lambs. My favourite touch was the indoor fireplace and outdoor firepit. We had the best night by the fireside, watching the stars. Will definitely be back.

This place is Beautiful
Stayed here for a romantic weekend away with my husband. This place is BEAUTIFUL! Conveniently located close to a small town, but secluded enough for total privacy and relaxation. It was such a nice break from the hustle and bustle, plus I loved waking up and seeing the cows in the morning 😊😊😊 will definitely be back!
